Historic Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club

About the Course

18 Holes – 5,001 yards – Par 67

A Venerable Old Golf Club

From when it was first founded in 1888 the Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club had everything going for it. Not only is it located above the leafy Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer, where visitors once flocked to partake of the sulphurous spring waters in its Pump Room, but the course was designed by two of the historic greats of the golfing world.

Designed By Greats

Willie Park (Jr), winner of the Open Championship in 1887 and 1889, laid out the first nine holes, and ten years or so later Tom Morris of St Andrews – “The Grand Old Man of Golf” – finished the job.

Beautiful Setting

The result is a unique, challenging course, barely changed in more than 120 years, in a beautiful setting that is praised by all who are privileged to play it. We’re proud to be custodians of this venerable old Golf Club and its amazing course, and delighted to be able to welcome members and visitors to stride the fairways where many famous feet have trod before.
